Firefox Form Follies

It is the only thing that is annoying me about FireFox right now – that there is no documented way to clear specific form data. Now if I would have been smart, I would have Googled earlier to find the answer that I did (from Mission Data):

  1. Enter the form that you want to edit
  2. Highlight the incorrect entry that you want to delete
  3. Hold Shift+Del to clear only that data from the form

This may have been something that is an “old FireFox thing” from the start, but it does point out to me (as I help develop an interface for a database at work) that there are various levels of users, and even the upper level users need support at times. Often these are the ones that will get legitimately angry when things “just don’t work” because they have tried everything that they are supposed to and things still aren’t coming out the way that they need. Often it’s a button or a procedure that is done just a little off, but it pays when developing to think of, and then document every contingency as it comes up.
