I don’t know what effect this will have, but I’ve posted quite a bit about bullying of late, so this is perhaps timely. Andy Carvin, blogging over at PBS Teachers posted this meme and hopes that it will spread through the sphere. This seems to be motivated in part by the threats against the author of CPU that I mentioned earlier in the week (and that many other in the ed sphere have talked about now as well). This has had enough of an impact that Scobelizer is going quiet for a week in support of those impacted.
What I do know is that the majority of the people who blog are in positions of some power to influence change in their local cultures,� and even though these cultures are not the (at least hopefully) violent types, we can all increase awareness of these issues and raise the bar everywhere else and help make it easier to point out these low life scum.
